ARABIC LANGUAGE
Arabic is one of the six official languages of the United Nations, and is the fifth most widely spoken language in the world with over 420 million speakers, after Mandarin Chinese, Spanish, English, and Hindi. World Arabic Language Day is celebrated every year on 18 December since 2012. The date coincides with the day in 1973 when the General Assembly of the United Nations adopted Arabic as the sixth official language of the Organization.
